Marketing Intern
Brown Girl Grinding is a media and lifestyle brand creating conversations around career, entrepreneurship, culture and community. Through digital storytelling, events and original content, we empower ambitious women to build meaningful careers while staying connected to culture. This internship is designed for students who are interested in marketing beyond social media. You'll gain exposure to brand strategy, content marketing, audience growth, campaign planning, market research, events and creative brainstorming.
Responsibilities Include
- —Research consumer, marketing and social media trends to identify opportunities for Brown Girl Grinding.
- —Monitor cultural conversations, emerging brands and creator marketing campaigns.
- —Research competitor brands and identify best practices and opportunities for differentiation.
- —Assist with content strategy and campaign planning.
- —Brainstorm creative concepts for content, events and brand initiatives.
- —Conduct audience and market research to better understand our community.
- —Research products, tools and platforms that could support brand growth.
- —Help organize and maintain marketing calendars, project timelines and planning documents.
- —Assist with live events, activations and content capture when needed.
- —Bring fresh ideas to weekly brainstorming sessions and contribute proactively to team discussions.

Internship Requirements
- —Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- —Receive academic credit for the internship (required).
- —Commit 10–15 hours per week.
- —Attend virtual team meetings.
- —Have reliable internet and a laptop.
- —Be authorized to work in the United States.
